When my daughter was younger, my wife casually mentioned that one of the kids in the neighborhood was having a birthday party on May 6th. I responded by telling her, “That’s Willie Mays’ birthday.”
I don’t know why I said it. I had to know she was not interested in this information and was unlikely to send a Hallmark greeting to the “Say Hey Kid”.
